SCHOOL ANNUAL REPORT

The Annual Report showcases the achievements and glories of the school. We set standards and goals for ourselves and strive to achieve them-be in the area of academics, sports, discipline, leadership and more. Each year, G.S.S. holds the AnnualPrize Distribution Ceremony to honour those students who have made the school proud with their brilliant efforts not only in the academic fields but also in the co-curricular areas with scholarships and scholar blazers.

ACADEMICS:

Achieving academic excellence is the greatest endeavor of the schooi as educators. The school follows CBSE curriculum, where the focus is majorly on the Experiential Learning-Learning by doing. Through various innovative methods and activities students leam the basic concepts of the subjects. Parlicipation in the SOF Science, Maths, English Olympiad, itself is the biggest competition where a student competes to outshine othet's. It infuses a healthy competitive spirit through reward based assessment. Following the legacy, two of our students have qualified for 2nd Level in Maths Olympiad this year also. Three students of G.S.S. Pubiic School, Khurja had bagged prizes in Infotech Software Solutions G.K. Contest--Shiksha ki ore. Students from 'various schools of Bulandshahr, Khurja, Noida and Ghaziabad etc. had participated in it.

SPORTS:

Sports competitions inculcate the spirit of positive challenges & sporlsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead. Our students actively participate in different sports competitions and win medals, certificates and trophies. Under the able guidance of the Sports Head, students of G.S.S. Public School proved that they are no less than anyone. Two students of the school had played in Sub-Junior and Junior Flying Tennis National Championship 2018-19 held in Ghaziabad. Our students bagged second prize in Interschool Basketball Championship held in Ch. Chhabil Das Public School, Ghaziabad. G.S.S. has also added feathers on its cap by bagging prizes during the Interschool competitions for The Rising Spirit Academy in Sanskar Interrrational School, Khurja. Several gold, silver and bronze medals were won. In 21st Annual Athletic District Championship 2018 organised by District Athletic Association Affiliated to Uttar: Pradesh Athletic Association in Bulandshahr district, our students bagged several gold, silver and bronze medals. Two of G.S.S. students also represented UP State'Ieam for 9th sub junior Il -15 National Drop Roball and 6th Federation Cup Drop Roball Championship at Anand Niketan College Barora, Maharashtra. We also have Anriual Athletic Meet every year. The 3 days Athletic Meet is a grand event where students as well as teachers. participate in a wide range of sports activities.

ACTIVITIES:

A plethora of activities under the guidance of our Coordinator throughout the session is conducted in G.S.S. Public School, Khurja, wherein students participate in various activities like Maths Quiz, Drawing Competition, Card Making, Tree plantation for Swachch Bharat Abhiyan, Poem recitation, Slogan writing, Hindi and English debate, Talent Hunt, Just A Minute and many more. Various Inter house Activities and Competitions are conducted throughout the. session like Inter house School Decoration Competition, Inter house Ad Mad Show, Inter house Dance Competition, Inter house Story telling Competition etc. House on duty performs its duty of conducting the day-to-day activities, competitions in systematic . and disciplined manner.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLIES :

Special Assemblies are a ,regular feature of the school. The themes are like Science for Peace and Development, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Great English Writers and Poets, Digital India, Janmashtami, Dussehra, Diwali and Christmas etc. The school also celebrates National days as Tndependence Day and Republic Day in its own unique way to inculcate the feelings of patriotism. Investiture Ceremony is also held in the School, in the month of July every year, where students of senior classes are given posts and duties of the school. This is essential to develop a quality of leadership and responsibility amongst the students.

WORKSHOPS FOR TEACHERS AND PARENTS:

Workshops are also a regular feature for the teachers, parents and students of G.S.S. Public School, Klrurja. Workshops for teachers on Classroom Management, I'ime Management, Yoga, Meditation and Stress Relieve etc. are conducted in the school on a regular basis. In keeping with the school's policy of continuous upgradation of knowledge and skills, our teachers attend various CBSE workshops and seminars organized by the other schools in the vicinity to improve their academic transaction skills and to update their capabilities._Workshop for Parents are also conducted in G.S-S. Public School, Khurja from time to time. Parents are trained how to use the Parents Portal. Now the, can see the fees structure, daily homework and attendance of their wards on their phones. We keep on updating the parents about their ward's performance ;. in the academics through a number of Parent Teachers Meetings and also by making regular telephone calls to the parents from the school.

STUDENTS' WORKSHOPS:

To ensure that the students are well equipped with knowledge to face any challenge, we have focused sessions on special'topics including Disaster Management, Health and Hygiene for Girls, Career Counselling, Leadership Skills, Prevention of Cancer, Good Touch and Bad Touch and Pradhan Mantri's Pariksha Pe Charcha to reduce their stress etc.

EXHIBITIONS:

Science and Social Science Exhibition is conducted every year in G.S.S. Public School, Khurja. Students of classes 6th to 9th display various working and non-working models on topics like Air pressure, Magnetic force, Respiration etc. in Science.and EVM machine, ATM machine, Rain water harvesting, Great Bath, Adarsh Gram, Volcano etc. in Social Science.

EXCURSION:

We all know th.at School Trips are also a partof education. This year, students of classes VI to IX were takm to Sciehce Musedm, Nehru Planetorium and Millenium Park in Delhi as apart of Educational Trip. This report is a sincere attempt to showcase our progress in terms of achievements ancl activities during the year.
